CASAC Reaches Closure on PM Criteria Document
The Clean Air Scientific Advisory Committee (CASAC) finally reached closure on the particulate matter (PM) criteria document at a meeting on September 20, 2004.
The Criteria Document has been undergoing review by CASAC since October 1999. EPA has prepared six drafts of various chapters of the document for public and peer review.
The Agency is under court order to publish a final document by October 29, 2004.
The CASAC closure letter, including the comments of the individual committee members on the Integrative Synthesis chapter, was issued October 4, 2004. EPA’s Science Advisory Board [www.epa.gov/sab] offers the report online.
