EPA Schedules Important CASAC Meetings to Review PM Documents
EPA has scheduled two key meetings of the Clean Air Science Advisory Committee (CASAC) for July 18-19, 2002 and September 18-19, 2002 to review key documents in the review of the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS)for Particulate Matter.
The July 18-19th, 2002 meeting will be for CASAC to review the final draft of the Criteria Document, including a new “integrated assessment” chapter.
The September 18-19, 2002 meeting is to review the draft Staff Paper, which will include draft of policy recommendations, and preliminary risk assessment findings for the first time.
There will be an opportunity public comment at both meetings. Both meetings will be held at the new EPA facility in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.
Both documents will be available for public review approximately two months prior to the meeting dates.
